The Flipped Classroom: Face-to-Face Techniques for Engagement
The flipped classroom is an innovative way of helping students explore course content in an online environment and to receive direct support in the face-to-face classroom. The Flipped Classroom model allows students to receive lecture content online and provides an opportunity to deepen their understanding of the material through face-to-face activities in the classroom. In this session, we will discuss different techniques to enhance the face-to-face classroom experience for students. Not only will we be discussing the flipped classroom, we will be employing a flipped model to this workshop. Faculty attending this event are encouraged to watch these short videos related to online tools. Problem-based Learning and Socrative. Come and join the conversation. This event is co-sponsored by the Office of Faculty Enhancement (OFE) and the Center for Instruction and Research Technology (CIRT).
